potentiation

Posted by Joey B. Wong on August 25, 2016  /   Posted in Uncategorized

The usage of other substances to enhance the positive effects of drugs, NOT to be confused with tolerance reversal. Drug potentiation usually means methods to increase plasma concentrations of the drug, or it’s metabolites, thereby increasing effective dosage using the same previous dosage. Pure potentiators do not prevent or reverse drug tolerance, it merely raises the actual concentration of the drug.
